A planned CSV and JSON export of federal grant opportunity listings published on grants.gov. It will be cleaned to one consistent 29-field schema and is meant for grant writers, nonprofit data teams, researchers and tool builders who want the raw records in a spreadsheet, database or app.

opportunity_id, title, agency_code, agency_name, category_codes, category_descriptions, opportunity_number, description, body_cert, is_forecast, forecasted_award_amount_individual, forecasted_award_unit_of_funding, forecasted_total_number_funded, is_draft, status (posted | closed | archived | cancelled), archive_date, close_date_estimated, close_date_actual, post_date, update_date, description_document_url, other_information_url, all_revisions, opportunity_synopsis_url_tags, funding_instrument_types, opportunity_category_explanation, agency_downloaded_certified_date, current_award_amount_individual, is_deleted.
Dates are ISO-8601. In the CSV, list fields are stored as JSON text and empty values are left blank.
schema_example_synthetic.json and schema_example_synthetic.csv each hold 3 made-up records that show the field layout. The IDs, URLs and amounts are placeholders and do not refer to real opportunities.
Source and accuracy. The data will be compiled from publicly available information on grants.gov, a U.S. federal government website. Grant data can change without notice, and snapshots may be up to 7 days old. This is not a real-time service. Check every deadline, eligibility rule and award amount on grants.gov before you make an application decision. We do not guarantee accuracy.
